While at a wedding in Florida (for all good decisions happen in Florida) Liz's friends created a Tinder account and proceeded to attempt to match with every person that had a dog in their profile picture. Upon returning to Minnesota, Liz decided to maybe try this online dating thing out, but with higher standards than just a dog in the profile. She swiped right on a the profile of a lovable-looking giant nerd. Rick, while swiping left on various Tinder thots, accidentally swiped left on Liz's profile (which she will never let him forget). Happily, since Liz had already swiped right, her profile came back around and this time they matched. After chatting back and forth and discovering kindred nerdy spirits, they decided to meet for an after-work breakfast at Uptown Diner. Over the next four years, they continued to bond over their mutual interests of cats, Doctor Who, and board games.
