Diner en Blanc/ Dinner in White
Please wear white. Guests are welcome to be as dressy or casual as they wish--as long as they wear white. Diner en Blanc was created in 1988 in France by François Pasquier who invited friends to an elegant picnic dinner at Bois de Boulogne, a huge park in Paris. The diners decided to wear all white in order to stand out and find each other. Flash forward to today, the occasion has become a sensation 100+ cities worldwide. Adding to the drama of the global annual event, diners aren't informed of the full details of location until minutes before arriving. Now official Diner en Blanc members, Rick & I want to reenact this fun, beautiful event by having our guests wear white. Amongst the candles and decor, it is simply magical. During our celebration, we'll have outdoor games and music... We'll offer a beautiful charcuterie board and special Bride and Groom cocktails... Later, we'll enjoy delicious, small plates, and of course, end with something sweet. And....there must be dancing!
