Kalyn’s Point of View It all started with a random Facebook friend request. I saw the name “Rick Davis” and thought “Hmm, don’t know him.” I don’t accept friend requests from people I don’t know, so I denied him. A couple days later, I asked my roommate Rachel, “Do we know a Rick Davis?”. Rachel laughed and said, “That’s Chad’s (her boyfriend at the time, now husband) stepbrother. He thinks you're cute and wants to take you out sometime." I don’t like dating, let alone blind dating, so I declined the offer. Soon after that, Rachel moved away. Every time I'd visit her, she’d let me know that Rick asked about me again and wondered if she could pass along my number. Every time, I’d dismiss the topic. Until I met him in person at her son Wilder’s first birthday party. I thought he was cute and seemed normal, so I decided to give him a shot. I let Rachel give him my number. A week or so later we were sitting down for our first date at Nada and the rest is history. Rick’s Point of View Kalyn's version pretty much sums it up, but I will say this....Persistence pays off! I finally got my big break after a YEAR of asking about her! As we started spending time together, I realized that Kalyn was someone that truly made my life better and that we both shared similar goals and values. We've traveled to multiple countries, attended concerts, vacations, comedy shows, parades, roadtrips...and I wouldn't want to do it with anyone else!
