Kylie and Emilie met while reffing intramural volleyball in college, at the University of Minnesota. When Kylie decided to go to Hilo, Hawaii for a semester, she told Emilie and was surprised to find out that Hilo was Emilie's favorite place on earth! Kylie told here she needed a roommate, and Emilie packed up and move to Hawaii with her to do a semester at the University of Hilo! They have been inseparable ever since and enjoy many (probably too many) nights drinking wine and talking for hours.
Jerad Johnson
Best Man
Nick and Jared met in elementary school, and became very close in high school. They did many questionable things together that makes Kylie wonder how Nick's mom hasn't yet had a heart attack... Such as making potato guns that burned off ALL of Nick's eyebrows. How they are still alive, Kylie does not know, but she is happy that Nick at least has a friend to blow all of his steam off with. With adult supervision.
Ashley Ekholm
Matron of Honor
Kylie and Ashley went to high school (and pre-school, and elementary school, and middle school) together. They became close in middle school and were inseparable all through high school. Many, many inside jokes and sleepovers were had. When it came time to go off to college, they stayed in touch and are still some of each others' best friends today!
Bryce Guski

Nick and Bryce met when Kylie and Emilie decided to go to Hawaii together. Being the boyfriends of two women that were so inseparable certainly had it's challenges (like constantly having to go to each other's houses because Kylie and Emilie HAD to drink wine tonight. AGAIN.), so thankfully they had each other! Luckily, they got along great and are now some of each others' best friends. Kylie and Emilie are very grateful, because they would have dragged them along to drink wine either way.
Asher Crawley

Kylie and Asher met during college orientation at the University of Minnesota the summer before freshman year. They instantly clicked and stayed in touch over the summer until they moved to Minnesota in the fall. They were instant friends and spent many days and nights studying (and definitely not studying...) together. Since, Asher has moved to Chicago, but it hasn't stopped their friendship, each of them making many trips back and forth from Chicago to St. Paul.
Rusty Zimmerman

Nick and Rusty met in college at the University of Minnesota. Both of them were engineering majors and both loved dirt! Yes, you read that correctly. They both joined the Soil Judging team and became very close. Through dirt. They are very proud to say that they brought home the third place team trophy in Nationals that year!
Gregory Jacobs

Kylie met Greg freshman year of college. They hit it off right away, but got especially close when Kylie was very sick one day and spent the entire day on Greg's dorm room couch (there was DEFINITELY no alcohol involved...). They spent all day talking when Kylie wasn't napping. They have been some of each other's best friends ever since, and now Greg also has the title of doctor friend to Kylie and Nick whenever they have something crazy happen (like Nick breaking his foot from stepping over a pile of laundry).
Lydia Vetsch

Nick is Lydia's big brother. He very much enjoyed tormenting her and her twin brother Lucas growing up. Thankfully, Nick matured, and Lydia is much more forgiving than most. Nick and Kylie are very excited that she is going to PA school so they can have a doctor in the family to give them advice on all things medical.
Elise Jacobson

Kylie and Elise met while serving in the Conservation Corps in 2019. They were put on the same crew together (YO4 or YOAF as Elise likes to call it) and became fast friends. With such grueling work, YO4 became VERY close in those 10 months together and helped each other through a lot that year. Kylie and Elise will be lifetime friends after all they endured together... Especially all the questionable bathrooms the woods provides.
Lucas Vetsch

Nick is Lucas's big brother. Like his twin, Lydia, he thankfully is forgiving for all that Nick put them through as children. They found a mutual love for football and wrestling growing up, that allowed them to bond between Nick's torments (except for Nick trying to "teach" Lucas how to wrestle). Now, Nick and Lucas can enjoy each others' company over a beer (or 7).
Walter Rich IV

Kylie is Wally's little sister. As kids, Wally very much enjoyed tormenting Kylie (like the time he locked her in the dog kennel, or the time he tied her up and put a band-aid over her mouth until mom came home). Thankfully, as they grew up (and matured, WALLY), they found a mutual love of science and entomology (bugs!) to bond over. Since, they enjoy sending each other expletives and memes, and when he is home from Saudi Arabia for holidays, drinking (probably too much) together and making fun of each other.
