Additionally, Airbnb and Vrbo have many great options to rent a house on the island as well. Please note many house rentals have a minimum of 3 nights.

Many hotel options and house rentals book fast and become more expensive the closer to the date you get. We urge guests to book accommodations as soon as possible to secure the best pricing and availability.

Rental Car
Although you cannot drive directly to Nantucket, you can drive to Hyannis, Massachusetts and take the ferry over to Nantucket. There are two ferry options located in Hyannis, The Hyline and Steamship Authority. Both have 1 hour passenger ferry options. It is recommended to purchase your ferry tickets 2-3 months in advance to ensure you get the date/time you are looking for. If you are looking to bring a car on the ferry, reservations should be made 6 months in advance through Steamship Authority. The car ferry is 2.5 hours from Hyannis to Nantucket.
Travel Note
The Seastreak Ferry also offers transportation from New Bedford, MA to Nantucket.
