In mid 2019, both Robby and Stephanie had already met thru mutual friends. Their paths crossed a few different times, but it wasn't until October 26, 2019 when they both attended a wedding for a friend. They started talking as Robby was an inflatable spaceman and Stephanie was a skeleton. They continued to talk all day every day until they made it official as a couple on October 31, 2019.

On our 4 year anniversary (Halloween of 2023) we went to dinner - Waterfire - then Stephanie wanted to go to the corn maze in Union Gap. (We already had bracelets from earlier in the day) We walked around and warmed up by a big fire pit, it was cold. We then decided against going into the haunted maze and went to the children's maze (it was dark and nobody was around) we then walked over to the party areas and sat on a couple of logs next to the fire pit (the same exact party area we were in earlier that day for a birthday party) Stephanie was warming up her hands when Robby nervously got down on one knee and asked Stephanie to marry him.
