We first met through a mutual friend that Jason grew up with, and Olivia went to college with in 2019. We talked on the phone through social media for probably a month max, and then it all fizzled out. Flash forward, it's November 2023, Olivia is living in California and Jason is living up in Oregon. We hadn't kept in touch at all, nothing, zip, nada, zilch, not a peep from each other, but a picture posted of Wednesday, Olivia's cat, had prompted Jason to reach out. At this point, Olivia had been making trips up to Oregon to visit friends, and her next trip up was in December to fly out with a friend to NYC out of Portland. Jason hopped on this opportunity and on the day before Olivia and Ashley were set to fly out to NYC, he planned our first date, which went down in the books as one of the most fun and memorable days either of us had ever had. After coming back from NYC, we made it official and started dating! Long distance was a difficult, but integral part of our relationship. We found that we got to know each other so well through long FaceTime conversations and phone calls, and made sure that we had a trip to look forward to each month to see each other. Our stint of long distance ended when Olivia moved to Oregon in September 2024. Moving forward a few more years, and Jason popped the question while we were in San Diego in February of this year! This trip will always be so close to our hearts, and we loved getting to see Olivia's best friend Claire, who was essential in organizing the proposal with Jason. We can't wait for this next step in our lives' and we are so excited to have you all with us as we move forward as husband and wife!
