Our Story

07.16.22

It all started with a swipe right in July… on Facebook of all places. A few exchanged messages quickly turned into late-night texts and inside jokes. It didn’t take long before Kevin planned a picnic date. But Alexandra had other ideas. A few days before the planned date, she asked if they could meet sooner. Kevin’s response? “I don’t have a haircut.” Alexandra replied without missing a beat, “I need to see you with and without a haircut.” That spontaneous meetup turned into hours of conversation. They laughed, shared stories, discovered how much they had in common—and didn’t want the night to end. Their first date rolled into the next morning, with breakfast and even more laughter. From that very first moment, something just felt right. In one month, Kevin asked Alexandra to be his girlfriend. Over the next few months, their connection only grew stronger. Five months into their relationship, they took their first trip together to Cabo — a vacation full of sun, adventure, and unforgettable memories. It confirmed what they already felt: they were building something real. One year in, they moved in together. And just one year later, they bought their first home — a place not just to live, but to build a life together. In December of 2024, their little family grew by four paws when they brought home their beloved dog, Onyx. More than just a pet, Onyx quickly became their “son,” their sidekick, and the heart of their home — always there to remind them to play, to laugh, and to love unconditionally. But love is tested not just by joy, but also by hardship. In September 2023, Alexandra’s father, James, passed away — a devastating loss that would shape their journey in a profound way. Even in his final days, James was thinking of his daughter’s future. He left Kevin an engagement ring and his blessing, saying the words Kevin will carry forever from when they first met: “Welcome to the family.” It was more than permission — it was a passing of love, trust, and hope. From that moment on, Kevin carried a quiet promise: to love, protect, and always be there for Alexandra, through everything life may bring. On November 16th, 2024, Kevin proposed with the ring James had entrusted to him. It was a moment full of emotion, love, and purpose — a promise not only for the future, but in honor of everything that had brought them there. Now, three years after that first swipe, here they stand — with Onyx at their side and love in their hearts — ready to say “I do.” Ready to promise, once again, to choose one another every single day. To love fiercely, to grow together, and to continue the journey of a lifetime, side by side.
