I (Sara) began working at Stony Point South Elementary School in August of 2018. During my first experience with Parent/Teacher conferences I was roaming the halls and saw this man rushing to his conference (because he's always late). The first thing I remember noticing about him were those soft, kind blue eyes and his smile. That year was a whirlwind and I don’t remember seeing him again, however, if you ask him, he remembers seeing me in a meeting with the principal to discuss an incident with his son, in which I laughed throughout the whole meeting. I have no recollection of this meeting. Fast forward 3 years and Scott suddenly starts showing up to SPS every day because of a rotator cuff surgery that sidelined him for months. My matron of honor, Lauren, credits herself with putting us together because she bullied me into going and talking to him after school every day (like created scenarios that I had to talk to Scott about), but it wasn't until I had to tell him that the art teacher accused his son of saying "Jupiter Dees Nuts" that we really started to talk. It turns out that Brayden wasn't even at school the day this was yelled out in art, so maybe the art teacher should also take some credit in setting us up. Our first date was May 28th, 2022, after I made him take me to get coffee. We accidentally stumbled into our very own hallmark movie. Scott picked a coffee shop in Parkville, Missouri and it happened to be the Memorial Day celebration weekend. We decided after coffee to go over to the fair. I beat him in a dart game but if you ask him, the woman running the game, let me win. I've been beating him in games ever since and after that date, Scott's been stuck with me.
