Once upon a time I, Alexa, went back to my alma mater, OBU, for a homecoming football game when I saw the most handsome man I've ever seen and found out that it was a new coach from California, Daniel Eaton. No opportunities came for us to meet on that night but fast forward a few months and I kept seeing this handsome football coach on Instagram because we had mutual people in common from OBU. So, I did the most basic flirting technique in today's dating world and I followed him on Instagram and to my surprise, he followed me back. I couldn't believe it when I got the notification that he had slid into my DM's and was asking for my phone number. Within only a few messages between each other, Daniel had asked me on a date and I was ecstatic. We had a date and time set for our first date, January 14, 2022 at my favorite Mexican restaurant in OKC. I think I knew this would be different because I had never been so nervous for a first date. We met at 6 pm that night and stayed out talking until the restaurant closed at 2 am. I knew on that drive home that this guy was special and that I may have just had my last, first date. The next day I invited Daniel over and cooked him dinner when we once again, stayed up almost all night talking. This is when I knew for sure this guy was different and was very excited to see where this might go. After that, we saw each other any second we both were free and didn't waste any free time apart from each other. Within 3 weeks, we were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. Our relationship continued to grow quickly and things got more serious and feelings got stronger every time we were together. Not long after that, we met each other's family and started to dream of a future together. They say when you know, you know, and we both knew it pretty quick. Fast forward a few months to July 2, 2022, Daniel dropped down to one knee on the beautiful beaches in Lake Michigan and officially asked me to be his wife. And if you know me, I'm usually a very indecisive person, but this was the easiest yes I've ever said. That's just the beginning of us and we are so excited to celebrate our marriage with our closest friends and family and are so excited to see where life will take us together. God is good, faithful, and we couldn't be more thankful.
