If you can believe it, we both swiped right on Tinder on October 17th, 2015. One week later, after a week of the game 20 questions, Ryan asked Clare out for date to go bowling. After three highly competitive games, a drink, and a long conversation in Ryan's car, they knew a second date was in order.

Unbeknownst to Clare, Ryan had planned a perfect proposal and EVERYONE was in on it! Over Thanksgiving weekend 2021, Clare, Ryan and Clare's brother, Nicholas and his girlfriend Kath went on a little Island road trip. The plan was to stop at some new Island spots, however Clare was most keen for Thunder Cove, and to share Teacup Rock with everyone. With the first stop at Cape Tryon lighthouse, Kath suggested a photo of Ryan and Clare, and Ryan thinking Clare felt the ring box, dropped down on one knee ON THE EDGE OF THE CLIFF! Clare was in absolute shock, and after some laughter and tears she happily said, "Yes!" Followed by, "You got me good! I had no idea".
