Richard went to high school and college with Ryan. They were roommates in college for three years and have many memories talking about history and basketball. Despite the fact that Ryan lives in Colorado and Richard lives in the DC area, they remain very close. Ryan lives in Aurora, Colorado with his wife Anna and his daughter Savannah.

Rachel and Tammie met in Washington, DC in 2011 and have remained close friends ever since. Through many ups and downs, such as moving to different continents, Tammie and Rachel share a love for having fun and showing hospitality to other people. Rachel currently lives and works in the Washington, DC area.
Angelo Medel

Richard and Angelo are cousins but, in many ways, Angelo is like a brother to him and they've had a lot of great memories taking family trips to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. He also is Richard's go-to person for finding good local Mexican food. Angelo currently lives and works in San Jose, CA.

When Tammie first arrived penniless in Washington, DC, Faye was the first person to hire her. They share a common passion for teaching foreign languages but both have transitioned to more tech-focused careers. Tammie served in Faye's wedding as a bridesmaid. Faye currently lives in the Washington, DC area with her husband Sherman and she is the most skilled cook Tammie has ever met.
David Chung

Richard and David went to middle school, high school, and college together. They were even roommates in Washington, DC for a summer. They've shared many (mis)adventures, especially on the basketball court. David and his wife Eunji live in Orange County, California with their three kids.
Linda Wu

Linda is one of Tammie's most faithful friends -- she has relied on Linda through thick and thin since they were both in college. After working together in college, they studied abroad in China and moved to Washington DC to start their careers. Tammie and Linda were roommates for a while and have remained very close. Linda lives in Northern Virginia with her husband Steve.
Christopher Malagisi

Richard met Chris when he volunteered on a senate campaign that Chris was working for. Richard was one of Chris' groomsmen when he got married. Chris is married to his wife Anna and is father to Athan Malagisi. He has been living and working in the Washington DC area for several years.
Breanna Moore

Ever since Tammie met Breanna in Nanjing, China in 2010, Breanna has brought so much joy and happiness into Tammie's life. They experienced many adventures in China and continually encourage each other to draw closer to God. Breanna currently lives and works in New York City.
Paul Hart

Richard and Paul worked together in the federal government from 2006 to 2009. They share similar passions for history, basketball, and comic book films. Paul is married to his wife Liz and has worked in the Washington DC area for several years.
Eva Wu

Tammie and Eva met at church in Washington, DC and were surprised to find that they had a mutual friend all the way over in China. They were fast friends, talking about their experiences in China, and encouraged each other in their faith. Eva is a brilliant woman and a kind, patient, and faithful friend. She is currently married and recently had her first child.
