We met in 2011 while I was working for her mother in Virginia. It was the love and care Tamika showed for her mother that caught my eye. I knew we were destined to be lifelong friends. Then the opportunity presented itself for us to spend time together and the rest is history.

We got engaged on May 26, 2017 at Chicago Midway Airport. Anyone who knows me knows that I like to be behind the scenes...so I was totally surprised by this very public gesture. Richard was dressed in uniform, carrying red long stem roses and a huge grin. Everything seemed normal until he went to one knee and a crowd gather around us. Did I mention it was caught on video...?
