It was all thanks to mutual friends that Richard and Sarah met for the first time one night while out at a bar on Brady Street in Milwaukee. Richard was encouraged by one of Sarah's friends to approach her that night. Clearly they hit it off and ended up closing the famous Wolski's Tavern. Richard and Sarah both knew this was the start of something great. The relationship was soon made official on March 4th.

Richard knew early on that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Sarah. He knew he wanted to make the proposal a moment they would cherish forever. He hid the ring for 6 months and spent weeks planning for this moment. One weekend they were hiking at Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis surrounded by some of their closest friends. Richard pulled Sarah aside by the falls and got down on one knee. Sarah had been waiting for this moment but never expected it to happen when it did. She said yes and champagne was popped!
