This love story started off a bit different, but that's why it's our love story to tell! It started off with some meddling aunties that saw us conversing at a wedding that Richard attended while visiting family. We had small talk at the wedding, but I didn't think anything of it. Maybe that week I received a call from a meddling aunty persuading me to "get to know that guy from the wedding" *African accent*. For some reason aunties are always in somebody business but they mean well, and I'm happy I was open to this idea. FYI Nigerian men don't play that wait 1 week before calling nonsense smh. The day I gave my aunt the go ahead to give him my number... HE TEXT ME! LOL I like det! That day we talked on the phone for a bit, but with time we found ourselves talking ALOT. Long distance relationships are not for the weak! We did that for some time, and tried to make the best of things. Once Richard decided to take that leap of faith on our relationship, he moved to the city!!! Yesssssssss, my baby came home lol. Well, he moved to my home, Houston! our relationship took a turn for the best at that time. Spending time with each other, laughing, getting to know each other, and loving on each other even more became our favorite past time thing to do. && then BOOM the pandemic. The devil tried it in soooo many ways that year. Fast forward to July, where I thought I was preparing a surprise intimate birthday dinner for Richard (we'll talk about that night another day smh), but he was 10 steps ahead of me and surprised me with an amazing proposal with our family and closest friends! Now we are spending forever together!
