Benicia is a small town located 40 minutes from San Francisco.  Recommended tourist attractions include:

Walk along the famous Fisherman's Wharf, enjoy clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl at the historic Boudin bakery, visit the sea lions hanging off Pier 39, take a boat to nearby Alcatraz, and visit Ghirardelli Square.

A popular park to gather and picnic, and one of the places in SF least likely to be overcast by Karl the Fog! Check out the local Bi-Rite Creamery for delicious and unique handmade ice cream flavors.

Mission Dolores Park

Walk or bike across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco to Sausalito in Marin.  This seaside community has an abundance of local shops and art galleries to explore.  Grab a drink and some pizza and play a game of bocce ball on the water at Bar Bocce, or head into the Marin Headlands for a vast network of hiking and biking trails.
