Stargazing at night is amazing, but equally impressive in the daytime.
Amazing beaches-Mahai'ula beach often has resting endangered monk seals laying on the beach and Makalawena beach has the softest white sand beach on the island. Be prepared to walk to the beach over volcanic rock or bring a 4X4.
Right outside of the Westin Hapuna is Hapuna beach, which is the Big Island's largest sandy beach, stretching nearly a half mile from north to south.
