Cori and Richard’s love story started the way all great romances do—at a bar—while they were both students at The Ohio State University. They went to Trattoria Roma on their first date, where Cori was so nervous she ordered only a side salad. Richard, on the other hand, had no such concerns and ordered two entrées, generously sharing both. Since that first date, they’ve gone on countless movie dates, hunted down the best new restaurants, and danced their way through a never-ending string of concerts. They endured a long-distance relationship but learned whether it was Washington, D.C., Hartford, Connecticut, or even Anchorage, Alaska, no distance could break their bond. Somewhere in between the fun and laughter and love, they moved in together and adopted two cats, Luna and Sol, who now run the household. On October 4, 2024, Richard asked Cori to marry him on the island of Santorini, Greece. This time, it was Richard’s turn to be nervous (though he had no reason to be)! Cori and Richard are eloping on March 30, 2026 on O'ahu in a private ceremony. They are excited to celebrate their marriage back home in Columbus with all of their loved ones!
