FAQs

See below for important information regarding our wedding weekend!
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

You must RSVP by Saturday, July 18th!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We will be offering hotel room blocks (check back soon on the Travel tab for details) for those who wish to stay close to other guests, but it is not required to stay at these! We recommend staying anywhere within 30 minutes of Annapolis as our events will be located in the downtown area. We also recommend staying on the west side of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to avoid encountering potential beach weekend traffic.

Question

Is there a dress code? What is the wedding party wearing?

Answer

Please dress in semi-formal or cocktail style attire! The wedding party men will be in blue, and the wedding party women will be in burgundy. St. Mary’s does not have any attire restrictions, but when planning your outfit please keep in mind that our ceremony is occurring in a Catholic church.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

All guests will be named in your RSVP portion of the website; please do not bring a date or plus one who is not listed there.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are excited to celebrate with the children in our lives! Kids who are invited will be listed on your RSVP page.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is entirely indoors at St. Mary’s Church. The Annapolis Maritime Museum has an outdoor courtyard and waterfront deck where the welcome hour will be located (weather permitting), as well as a ballroom and the museum itself which will both be open during the reception.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding ceremony starts promptly at 1pm. Plan to be seated no later than 12:40pm. Please do not arrive any earlier than 12:15pm—we are not the only event of the day at St. Mary’s!

Question

Where should I park for the ceremony?

Answer

Parking is available both on Duke of Gloucester Street and in the lot behind the church. You will not be able to leave your car in the church lot following the ceremony; please plan accordingly during the gap between the ceremony and reception.

Question

Where should I park for the reception?

Answer

No parking is available for guests at AMM itself. We highly recommend utilizing ride share services or carpooling with friends and family! Street parking in the neighborhood is free and available unless signage indicates otherwise. *LIMITED* lot parking spaces are available at two locations a few blocks away from AMM. American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) 613 Third Street, Annapolis, MD Horn Point Harbor Marina 105 Eastern Avenue, Annapolis, MD If you have accessibility needs or mobility restrictions, please text us at 443-995-1777 so we can accommodate reserved parking for you.

Question

What is a “cocktail style” dinner? Will I have to stand all night?

Answer

Don’t fret, there will be tables and seats for everyone! Our dinner will be full of hearty appetizer style bites throughout the evening that allow everyone to mingle, dance, play games, and celebrate with us. An open bar will also be available during the welcome hour and reception.
