Where is the wedding venue?

Answer

The Belle Mer - The Water Salon - Newport, RI 2 Goat Island Rd, Newport, RI 02840 There are two venues at The Belle Mer - The Water Salon and The Island House. We will be located at The Water Salon.

What time is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will start at 6:30pm and end at 11:30pm. Please try to arrive at the venue between 6:00 - 6:15 to enjoy the views of the Newport Bridge before the sunset.

Will there be transportation to the wedding?

Answer

If you are staying at one of the hotel blocks at The Sonesta or The Hampton Inn in Middletown, we will provide transportation to and from the wedding. Timing details TBD If you are staying at a different location, there are plenty of Ubers and Lyfts available in the summer. The venue can be within walking distance but it can be a bit of a hike should you choose that route. There will be parking available at the venue.

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Formal What the heck does that mean? We’d love for our guests to dress up and celebrate with us! Cocktail formal attire means suits or jackets for men and cocktail dresses, midi/maxi dresses, jumpsuits, or elevated separates for women. Think polished, elegant, and wedding-ready, somewhere between cocktail and black tie. Since we’ll be celebrating in Newport in August, feel free to lean into summery colors, fun patterns, and comfortable shoes for dancing!

Is the wedding outdoors or indoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors pending weather and dinner/reception will be held inside the ballroom. The doors to the venue will remain open all night where you can flow from indoor to outdoors to enjoy the fire pits, views and Newport breeze.

Is the wedding kid friendly?

Answer

No! Unless you are Harper or Zoe Richissin to whom rules do not apply. But...no! Sorry!

Question

Can I bring a friend, a pet, my grandma, my tennis coach or a plus one that is not on my wedding invitation?

Answer

No! The name of every guest invited to attend will be clearly listed on your invitation. If they are not listed, we sadly won't be able to accomodate them.

Question

Will there be accomodations for those with dietary restrictions at the venue?

Answer

Yes! The Belle Mer is excellent when it comes to dietary restrictions. When selecting your entree for the event, there will be a place to note any dietary restrictions you may have. This can include vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, etc.
