After several amazing years in New York City, Rich moved to Boston in 2012 for business school at the same time as Nini was prepping to apply to business school. Nothing says romance like standardized tests and essay questions. Having both spent summers a half a mile down the road from each other on Cape Cod, we knew of each other, but had never actually met until this fortuitous point in time. We were moving to new stages in our lives and crossed paths at just the right time. Rich decided he would start his new chapter in Boston by inviting a group of friends to volunteer at the Greater Boston Food Bank. Nini made her way onto an email list for the event and decided it would be lovely to get out of the house and away from her GMAT books. We got off to a rough start as Nini misread Google maps and ended up somewhere on the highway by the Food Bank. Fortunately, Rich tracked her down and suddenly realized "boy she's cute" and then after talking, "dang she's smart". After a few more exchanges Rich finally got the guts to say "I'd like to get to know you better, how about we go to dinner." Rich is still learning more amazing things about Nini and that makes this whole marriage thing even better.
