Question

What shall I pack?

Answer

We have no idea what the weather will be, and it can often swing in the Adirondacks. Please come prepared for hot days, cold nights, monsoons, or maybe all of the above throughout the weekend! We want you to be comfortable, so we can have fun no matter what the weekend brings. If you are staying at camp, bed linens and bath towels will be provided. 1. Attire for the wedding events (consider the weather!) -Welcome Party & Sunday Brunch: Casual– jeans are fine! -Rehearsal Dinner: Summer Cocktail Attire–Women can wear sundresses with block heels, wedges, or flats (no stilettos as we will be on the beach). Men can wear dress pants with a button-down – blazers are welcome but ties aren’t necessary. -Wedding Ceremony & Reception: Dressy Cocktail Attire–Think somewhere between cocktail and black-tie optional. Women can wear short or long cocktail dresses. Men can wear suits and ties or a tuxedo. Once again, block heels and wedges are encouraged because we’ll be outside on the sand and gravel. -Color Wars: Athletic gear and sneakers. Find your team assignment on the attached list in case you want to pack your color (green or gold). Everyone will get a t-shirt in their color, so don’t stress if you don’t have anything. 2. Block heels and/or wedges. 3. Swimwear and a beach towel (if you plan on taking a dip in the lake). 4. Insect repellent and sunscreen. 5. Flashlight, headlamp, or your cell phone’s flashlight. 6. A cozy sweater, jacket, or blanket for cooler evenings around the campfire. 7. Raincoat, rain boots, and an umbrella. 8. Personal toiletries and any necessary medications. 9. Reusable water bottle. 10. An open heart and a big smile!

Question

Is there parking at the venue if I wanted to drive myself?

Answer

Yes, Point O Pines has parking for personal vehicles. Shuttles only will be provided for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day ceremony and reception. If you’d like to attend the other events including color wars, barbecue lunch, and other camp activities, we encouraged you to rent a car. If you plan on driving a personal vehicle to the wedding ceremony and reception, please arrive between 4:00-4:15 PM as it will take time to walk from the parking lot to the site of the ceremony and the ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 PM. Ubers are extremely hard to come by in Brant Lake, so please plan your ride home accordingly.

Question

What is the transportation schedule for the weekend?

Answer

Shuttles will be provided on Friday for the rehearsal dinner and on Saturday for the wedding ceremony and reception. Friday night - A shuttle bus will be provided from The Sagamore Hotel and The Courtyard by Marriott Lake George. The shuttles will depart from both hotels promptly at 5:15 PM. Please be ready at the hotel front entrance 5-10 minutes prior to the 5:15 PM departure. If you are not staying at one of these two hotels but would still like to hop on the shuttle, feel free to do so! If you plan on driving a personal vehicle to the rehearsal dinner, parking is available at Point O' Pines Camp. The shuttles will be available throughout the night to take you back to your hotel, with a final shuttle departing at 11 pm. Please check the FAQ page closer to the wedding date for a full transportation schedule. Saturday wedding ceremony and reception - A shuttle bus will be provided from The Sagamore Hotel and The Courtyard by Marriott Lake George. The shuttles will depart from both hotels promptly at 3:30 PM. Please be ready at the hotel front entrance 5-10 minutes prior to the 3:30 PM departure. Question

How should I get to camp?

Answer

The nearest airports are Albany (1 hour 15 min) and Burlington (2 hours). There are limited Ubers in the Brandt Lake area so we encourage you to rent a car. Buses from NYC to Camp will be provided for Rich and Lucy's friends who live in the city and don't have access to cars. The buses will depart late afternoon on Thursday, Aug 24th late afternoon and return Sunday after brunch. The drive takes approximately 4 hours.

Question

HOW CAN I RESERVE A ROOM AT POINT O PINES CAMP?

Answer

Please do not call Point O' Pines to make reservations. To reserve, please go to the TRAVEL page and click the VIEW button listed under Point O' Pines Camp for Girls to let us know your bunking preferences and we will reserve the room on your behalf. Payment will be due once your cabin has been assigned and we will send a link in your email. Note: If you are uncomfortable staying in a group cabin we recommend booking accommodations off of the camp to be safe.
