It all began at a Germantown Tennessee shell gas station when my cousin and I ran into her friend Rich. Kasey told her she should make a move on him because he was cute and had beautiful eyes. She looked at me like I was crazy and said he was like a brother to her. Awhile went by before seeing Rich again but during that time Rich was asking her to give him Kasey’s number. After she said said no a few times, she caved. Kasey didn’t know a lot about him but after seeing him at a party she couldn’t stop thinking about him. They laughed all night long! Soon after, we went on our first date, dinner at a mexican restaurant. Kasey had three carne asada tacos and Rich, of course, had a monsterous burrito. This was the night Kasey “told” Rich that she doesn’t eat chinese food (I was trying to eat healthy at the time) and he hasn’t let her live it down ever since! After both playing hard to get for awhile, we learned how much we have in common other than our ages. Traveling, entertaining, and being a foodie are just a few shared interest we have enjoyed along the way. Looking back at all of our memories, I am most grateful for Rich being so supportive through all of the late night study sessions I had at school and how he always helped inspire me to dream big after graduating. The thing I love most about Rich is how good of a dad he is. I love watching him with his boys and how silly they can be! Rich’s funniest memory of Kasey is today, January the first, the day Alabama is in the citrus bowl and she wants him to focus on our love story while bama is struggling to win. Kidding aside, The thing I love most about Kasey is I would give her the world but she never asks for anything. When we first started dating, this really helped me to trust and appreciate how genuine of a person she is.
