The first time Richard and Colleen met was at a mutual friend's house. In typical Richard fashion, he was slicing up fresh mozzarella and tried to feed some to Colleen. That first interaction didn't go over so well. A few weeks later at the same house, Colleen and Richard were officially introduced by one of their mutual friends. The two got to know each other over a few Michelob Ultras, and as they say, the rest is history.

Colleen thought she had Richard fooled when she planned a surprise 30th birthday party. Little did she know, Richard had other plans. Following a dinner with their immediate families, Richard and Colleen headed to Six Harbors Brewery in Huntington Village for a beer. On arrival, Richard was surprised with how many people had shown up to celebrate his birthday. With the cheers of "Surprise!", Richard ended up surprising the whole party with bending down on one knee. He pulled out a reverse Uno card and flipped the script. After Colleen said yes, they were able to celebrate the rest of the night with some of their closest friends and family.
