Q & A
Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

To RSVP, please click the RSVP tab here on our website and type in your name. All invited guests in your party will appear here to mark as "will attend" or "will not attend". Please RSVP by May 31, 2024. All RSVPs received after this date will be marked as "will not attend".

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than May 31, 2024 by visiting the RSVP page on our website. Due to very limited capacity at our venue, we have to provide our final head count to our vendors by this date in order to accommodate everyone appropriately on the day of our wedding. If you do not RSVP on time, we will assume that you are unable to attend. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Can I still come if I didn't RSVP?

Answer

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate those who do not RSVP. Because of limited venue capacity, we have to give final headcount to all vendors on June 7th. Thank you for understanding!

Question

What do I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “not attending” so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Question

Can I bring a friend or date?

Answer

Due to very limited capacity at our venue, the formal invitation will indicate if you can bring a plus one by saying “your name and guest”.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

While we love your kids, the venue does have limited capacity. Invitations will be specific and include the names of the children who have been invited. We request that if your little ones are upset or disruptive, that you kindly step out of ceremony space until it is over. We do encourage you to use this evening as a fun "night out" for yourselves! Note: Mehendi (Henna) night will be females aged 10+ only event!

Question

Where is parking?

Answer

Parking is onsite at Bull Run Swim & Racquet Club and Durga Temple. Bel Air 1740 - In addition to on-site and on-street parking is also available at neighboring Saint Margaret's Church, which allows use of its parking lot for events at Bel Air 1740 unless there is a conflict with a church activity.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Henna - The event will be held indoor. Hindu Wedding Ceremony - The event will be held indoor. Christian Wedding Ceremony and Reception - The ceremony will be outdoor. Cocktail hour will be in a covered patio. The reception will be held indoor. Please dress accordingly and make sure to check weather conditions leading to the event. We are hoping for great weather. But just in case, we will move the ceremony and cocktail hour in a covered patio. There is plenty outdoor space for guests to enjoy if weather is accommodating. Additionally, please keep in mind that the venue primarily has grass and gravel terrain.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’d love to see our family and friends dressed up for our big day! For Henna Night, we request our guests to dress in yellow, green, or orange attires. For Hindu Ceremony, we request our guests to dress up festive in formal or black-tie optional attire. Formal dress code for women includes floor length gowns, saree, or lehenga. If you're unable to find a Nepali outfit for the wedding and want to wear one, consider wearing a crop top and flowy skirt for a lehenga-inspired look. For Christian Ceremony and Reception, dress to impress in your best formal or black-tie optional attire. We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for bride - whites, ivories, and creams. Since it is a fusion event, feel free to wear traditional Nepali outfits like saree or lehenga.
