A coworker of mine (Courtney) asked if I would go on a blind date with a friend that she thought I would get along with. I did not agree to the blind date but said I would attend a happy hour with her and it would be okay if he was there as well. So that's what happened, we met at Glory Days in Glen Burnie after the last day of school! At first they were talking and quoting movies, and I thought that it would never work out considering I know nothing about movies. But it ended up being a good time and on the way out after the awkward goodbye Jordan honked twice and waved at the intersection and that won me over.
When we met for our first real date, Jordan picked me up and we went to play mini golf and hit golf balls at the driving range. He came prepared with Titos and Tonics with limes in Yeti cups ready to go! Huge bonus in my book. After having some fun we went to Barcocina in Fells Point for dinner where we shared some tacos and continued to have more drinks. A few bars later and I was over the moon about Jordan and even texted my best friend "I think he's the one!"
After living in David and Whitney's basement for a few years, with lots of visits from me, who become Jordan's "Shug" aka sugar bear, aka Aunt the Shug, aka The Shugs.... Jordan ventured out to buy a house in Baltimore. After living 6 months alone, I moved in with him. We got a Golden Retriever pup named Oshie and we are living our best life on Patterson Park.
After surviving Covid together and some health scares, Jordan decided it was the right time to propose. After doing our annual Ronald McDonald 5K with family and friends we went to Barcocina for brunch. Before brunch we walked the Fells Point Pier and then at the end of the pier he got down on one knee and proposed. Then we had a wonderful brunch followed by celebrating with friends and family at Checkerspot Brewery. It was truly the best day!
