Avalon Nature Preserve
Although this preserve is undergoing some construction still, their newest property overlooking Stony Brook Harbor is an expansion of the Costal Corridor trail and can be accessed through a pedestrian pass at Harbor Road. If you go far enough, you'll hit the LI sound! Parking is available off of Shep Jones Lane, and you can head out on any of the trails. You can even make a pit stop at Harmony Vineyards to grab a glass of wine ;)
Maureen's Kitchen
This is our FAVORITE place to get breakfast and lunch! It is such a beloved spot, and we promise you'll enjoy - just be prepared to wait on line for a little bit as they don't take reservations. But don't worry, the line moves fast!
Port Jefferson
This village is only a quick 12-minute drive from our venue! They have fantastic restaurants, adorable shops and breweries to choose from. We highly recommend WILD Plant Shop (116 E Main St) if you're an admirer of foliage like we are :)
The Long Island Museum
Amazing place to explore some of LI's history. Aside from their very popular carriage exhibition, their upcoming 'Giants and Gems' exhibition will integrate the largest and the smallest works from the LIM’s Art and History collections, including fine arts, crafts, costumes, and household objects. Feel free to bring lunch and picnic outside to view some of the outdoor artwork also if the weather permits!
The Jazz Loft
Another notable museum dedicated to jazz music with a performance space, bar, and educational programs! Check out their website to catch some live performances if you'll be staying the weekend.
Stony Brook Harbor Kayak & Paddle Board Rentals
