Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is April 1, 2025, but we highly recommend booking your hotel and flights before that date. Please note that one of our discounted hotel room blocks will expire in March (see "Travel" page).

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

For the Welcome Dinner on Friday, June 27, the dress code is upscale casual (e.g., polo shirts, sundresses). For the Ceremony and Reception on Saturday, June 28, the dress code is semi-formal attire (ties and long dresses are optional). Please be mindful of gravel and grass regarding shoe choices.

Question

How do I get to the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Between 4pm and 4:30pm, shuttles will depart from the hotels listed on our "Travel" page (the Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées, the Grand Hotel Bristol, and the Hotel Astoria). These shuttles will transport guests from their hotels to Villa Luisa for the wedding ceremony (approximately, a 10-minute drive). At 7:15pm, shuttles will transport guests from Villa Luisa to the Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées for the reception.

Question

How do I get from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) to Stresa?

Answer

The quickest and easiest way to go from MXP to Stresa is via taxi, and this usually costs a little over 100 euros. There is also the Alibus, a bus that runs from MXP to Stresa every 2 hours from 10am to 8pm, and this costs 14 euros per person. Advance reservations are recommended: https://www.safbooking.com/ There are also trains from MXP to Stresa, usually involving one change in Busto Arsizio. These local trains cost about 15 euros (they cannot be booked months in advance). See here for more info: https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html

Question

Can I bring a plus 1?

Answer

You may bring a plus 1 if your invitation envelope was directed to you "and Guest." If your invitation does not say "and Guest," please be mindful of our guest count requirements.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Please feel free to bring kids to the Welcome Dinner on Friday, June 27. We ask that the Ceremony and Reception on Saturday, June 28 be adults only. Both the Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées and the Grand Hotel Bristol offer babysitting services upon request.

Question

Can I bring a gift?

Answer

Your presence is the greatest gift. We can't wait to share our big day with you!

Question

Who painted the artwork on the invitations?

Answer

Michelle Miller (one of Victoria's bridesmaids) found time during her hectic neurosurgery residency to paint the watercolor of Villa Luisa that is featured on the invitations.

Question

What is there to do in Stresa?

Answer

Situated on Lake Maggiore in the mountainous Piedmont region of northern Italy, Stresa is a picturesque town with attractions and activities that draw visitors year-round. The main draw in Stresa is surely the Isole Borromee (the three islands, Isola Bella, Isola dei Pescatori, and Isola Madre, each with its own distinct personality). You can find information about getting to the islands at www.borromeoturismo.it. In addition to the islands, Stresa features historic villas, lively town squares serving delicious meals, numerous swimming spots, unique shopping opportunities, and hiking and panoramic views in the nearby mountains. Question

What if I cannot make it to Italy?

Answer

If you cannot make it to Italy, we will be hosting a dinner in Pasadena this fall, and we hope you can celebrate with us then.
