It was a Saturday and Erick had organized a beach trip with one of my friends, and with one of his friends who had a vehicle. When I jumped into the white truck and he turned around to greet me, I worked hard to cover up my immediate crush on him. Gosh, those eyes! Then we went kayaking, and yay! - ended up in the same kayak! We had a blast together, venturing out into the waters and we even saw a group of dolphins. The time flew by and we decided to go on another trip the next day. There were many adventures, like thunderstorms, sneaking in fancy hotels, and sharing a rotisserie chicken on the beach. I noticed myself being too shy to look into his eyes because I knew I was hopelessly going to fall for him. Fast forward 6 months and Jeremy is visiting my family to spend Christmas with us in Germany! I remember shaking from excitement when I finally saw him walk through the doors at the airport, and of course he noticed... Three days later we had the most romantic day at the Christmas market - the day of our first kiss and new beginning as a couple! After this magical Christmas time we faced a number of challenges, and God seemed to have decided that we had a lot of virtues to develop. Starting with a long-distance relationship between Germany and Florida for the first 8 months, followed by injuries and other challenges that accompany us until this day. We have been through tough times together, and both of us (mostly me though) had a lot to learn. Jeremy has made my dreams of a relationship and family come true, which I had never thought was possible. We are now stronger than ever. I am SO grateful for his patience and guidance, and for showing me the power and magic of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Jeremy's proposal was just like everything else he does: Romantic, well-planned, heartfelt, artistic, poetic and THOUGHTFUL. He asked my whole family for permission before I even knew and he proposed on our third anniversary on the Christmas market in Germany!
