Of course! Our traditional wedding continues three days for several hours each day. However, we have included only the main components to fit it in an hour and half. Traditionally performed in Sanskrit, the ancient Vedic language, the Hindu marriage celebrates the holy union of the 'Purush' (Consciousness) with the 'Prakriti' (Manifestation). The steps of our ceremony include: - Ganesh Puja (worship to the Lord of Wisdom and Success) - Salkalpan (Bride and groom's families mutually agree on the marriage) - Kanyadan (Bride's family offers their daughter's hand to the groom in marriage) - Malyadan (Exchange of garlands between bride and groom) - Sindoordan (Groom applies vermillion on bride's forehead as a sign of marriage) - Mangalphera (Circling the holy fire with vows of togetherness) - Ashirvaad (Blessings from elders)
Please let us know by Jun 9.
We would love that! During the 'Mangalphera', you are welcome to throw flower petals at the couple.
Absolutely! And it is your choice. You can wear any Indian ethnic wear if you like. However, please feel free to wear anything you like keeping Arizona summer in mind.
