Rianna was casually scrolling through Hinge when she came across the profile of a handsome man. He had pictures showing his fun side and that he liked music festivals. He also had a picture with DK Metcalf which confused Rianna's roommates as to which one Sawyer was (Sawyer takes tremendous pride at this). They matched. They talked. Sawyer worked up the courage to ask Rianna out.

Sawyer selected Gainsbourg as the romantically lit location to have their first date. He selected it for the atmosphere and the poutine. He arrived early enough to get the last available table in the house and the proceeded to have himself an Old Fashion to soothe his nerves. Little did he know that Rianna would be running late (which would become the norm) because of the mystical Seattle rain. Rianna finally arrived and she quickly consumed a French 75 (fun yet still classy) to soothe her nerves. They talked and talked about the most random of things like favorite Disney movies, the Romanov dynasty and cheese (the bedrock of their relationship). When the night had ended Sawyer escorted Rianna back to her car like a true gentleman.

By this time Rianna and Sawyer had a few dates under their belts out in the real world and they really liked where this was going. And then... BOOM the world shut down. With COVID making it impossible to hang out at cool restaurants and bars, Rianna and Sawyer had no choice but to hang out at each other's homes to continue to get to know each other. They soon discovered that they were both homebodies and their romance blossomed. There were long nights of Disney movies and Rianna destroying Sawyer at board games. Delightful meals prepared by Sawyer that made Rianna feel like she was a princess. Sawyer even bought Harry Potter decorations for a weekend full of Harry Potter movies and playing a Harry Potter board game (cooperative so that they could both win).

Although they had only been officially dating since March of 2020, the time had come for Rianna to no longer live with all of her best gal pals and she went to look at a place for herself. She brought Sawyer to check out a new apartment dwelling for herself and the sight of the place made Sawyer feel sad. After a day of thinking he called Rianna up and shakily said "I just know I will kick myself if I don't speak up now. My lease is also going to be up soon and I would like us to find a place to live together". Rianna made a list of pro's and con's about moving in with someone who she had only known for 8 months and even though "He could be playing the long con to turn me into a skin suit" was on the con's list, the pro's won out and they moved into their first little condo together.

Rianna and Sawyer had been living together in bliss for a little over a year now and surprisingly no one wanted to kill the other. They had acquired a fluffy puppy named Miechen and were taking her to the beach in Ocean Shores on Christmas Eve morning. Little did Rianna know that Sawyer had asked her dad Jeff for his blessing over Thanksgiving, which was heartily granted. While on the beach Sawyer broke out into a rendition of Charlie Day's Night Man musical where he proposes to the waitress. Just kidding, Rianna and Sawyer walked along the beach with Miechen while she furiously tried to dig as many holes as she could and finally Sawyer got out Rianna's early Christmas present and Sawyer got down on one knee and said "I want to spend all of our future Christmases together. Will you marry me?" Rianna managed to get out a "Yes!" through her ugly crying.
