The Old Mission Peninsula offers stunning views of Lake Michigan, rolling grassy hills, and best of all, lots and lots of wine! Some of our favorite wineries on Old Mission are 2 Lads Winery, Black Star Farms, and Bonobo, but there are many other great options as well. Some locations require a reservation so be sure to check ahead online.
Are you sensing a theme? There are many wineries in this area as well. We are partial to Ciccone Vineyard and Winery as they often have live music on the weekends and offer great wine flights with generous pours.
There are so many places to explore in the Traverse City area! Visit the website for recommendations of things to do - anything from hiking trails, beaches, art exhibits, bike and kayak tours, restaurants, casinos, golfing, you name it! You can request a free digital visitor's guide on the website as well.
Suttons Bay is a cute little town on the coast of Lake Michigan. Our favorite things to do here are visit the shops, where you'll find souvenirs and treasures from local artists, and hang out by the water at the park. There are plenty of walking trails nearby as well.
A per-vehicle fee of $25 is required for entrance, but the view is priceless. There are not many places where the sand meets the water quite like this. Activities include hiking, swimming, and taking a trip along the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive.
