About Us
How did we meet?
When everyone asks how we first met, we always used to say "We happened
to meet in front of a bar!" We somehow always conveniently left out the fact that we had
arranged to meet there after we had started talking on Dil Mil. I know, gross,
met on a dating app!? BUT, we (Akhil) now like to think of the whole process as us trying to
keep with tradition - we underwent an arranged marriage handled by the technology gurus
of the 21st century. We're happy with how it turned out :)
Why Mexico?
Mexico was the first country we traveled to together and we've loved it ever since.
When we started planning our wedding, we thought it would be amazing to bring our
families together and celebrate in such a beautiful place.
Why the hashtag #AkhilSangRia?
This one has a few of interpretations:
1st) The obvious - Akhil Sangria the drink
2nd) Akhil Sang Ria in hindi translates to Akhil with Ria in a loving
'two-peas-in-a-pod' type-of-way.
