FAQs

Question

What time is the ceremony?

Answer

The service will begin at 12:00pm. We kindly ask guests to arrive between 11:30am and 11:45am to ensure everyone has time to get seated before it starts.

Question

What is the venue address?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at St Peter’s Church, Mill Lane, Diddlebury, Craven Arms, Shropshire, SY7 9DH. The reception will follow just a short walk away at Delbury Hall, Diddlebury, Craven Arms, Shropshire, SY7 9DH, reached via a path through the trees from the church. Directions from Newtown (Powys): By car – approx. 50 minutes (30 miles): Take the A489 east, then join the B4368 heading toward Diddlebury via Craven Arms. Directions from Shrewsbury: By car – approx. 40 minutes (25 miles): Follow the A49 south to Craven Arms. At Craven Arms, turn onto the B4368 toward Diddlebury. Once you arrive in Diddlebury: St Peter’s Church is on your right, just as you enter the village. To reach Delbury Hall, continue around the bend in the road—it will also be on your right, down a lane. The two venues are only a short walk apart, through trees and gardens.

Question

Is there any parking available?

Answer

There is limited parking opposite the church at the Village Hall, but please note this is also used by the school. Additional parking is available at Delbury Hall, where you're welcome to leave cars overnight if needed — just please collect them the next morning.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There’s no formal dress code — please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and festive! As it’s a winter wedding in late December, we recommend dressing for the weather, especially if you’ll be walking between the Church and Delbury Hall. The Church will be heated, and the walk is short — but warm layers are a good idea. And if you feel like embracing the season, Christmas colours are more than welcome!

Question

Is transport being provided?

Answer

Yes! A bus will be arranged to arrive at Delbury Hall by 7:00pm and will depart at midnight for anyone who’d like to use it. Pick-up and drop-off points will be in Newtown. There will be a small cost per person, and spots will be confirmed based on RSVPs. For full details, please refer to the travel note on the Travel page.

Question

What food will be served?

Answer

We want to be as transparent as possible—no one likes being hungry at a wedding! For those joining us during the day, we’ll be serving a festive, Christmas-style cheese and charcuterie board as a shared starter, followed by a Christmas dinner for the main course. Our wedding cake will be served as dessert. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know when you RSVP, and we will be in touch with alternative options. Later in the evening, we’ll be serving up loaded fries to keep everyone fuelled for the dance floor.

Question

Can we take photographs during the ceremony?

Answer

We’d love for you to be fully present during the ceremony, so we kindly ask that phones and cameras stay tucked away until afterwards. Our photographers will capture everything beautifully!
