Need to reset, release, relax while you're in town? Magnolia Yoga Studio is New Orleans' first Black-owned hot yoga studio and one of Rhonda's fave places to practice. They have mats and towels to rent so no need to travel with yours.
The Pelicans have home games on the 23rd and 25th. We are officially a basketball family. If this were any other weekend and we probably would be at the game with you! Geaux Pels!!
CTC Steppers are taking it to the streets on Sunday, February 25th. If you want to be dancing with the people and catch the real New Orleans footwork, don’t miss this downtown second line. Follow the WWOZ website for the exact route. Try to go to the very beginning of the route for the best views.
The birthplace of our love! The Velvet Cactus has great margaritas and an award-winning outdoor dining area.
This is our go-to spot for raw oysters with a rotating selection of East Coast, West Coast and Gulf Coast oysters. Make sure to try the Little Moons - they are our absolute favorite local oyster.
Paladar is one of our family go-tos for brunch. Cute ambiance. Off the beaten path. Everything is delicious. The potatoes, the crudo, the lemon ricotta pancakes, the huevos rancheros, the cocktails — just everything. Enjoy!
Toast is the closest we get to a neighborhood diner and we love it. We go to this one in Gentilly most often, but the French Quarter one is great too. There’s always a wait during brunch, so go early and get your name on the list.
We once had dinner here twice in the same week! Very creative Vietnamese-inspired fusion menu and lovely staff - a must for the foodies among you!
Chapter IV is becoming one of our newer brunch favorites. Creative Creole cuisine by one of New Orleans’ most important culinary legacy families, the Chase’s. There are no bad options here. Now open and taking reservations for Saturday and Sunday.
