FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by May 1 to help us finalize details.

Question

Can I bring a plus one? Are kids allowed?

Answer

Everyone invited will be listed on the rsvp page. While we adore your little ones, we’ve decided our wedding will be an adults-only event. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We realize that our "whimsical western" theme might bring up some questions about what you should wear, but don't worry! Kate and Jake have gone through and curated some ideas for you! The items on this page aren't required, but we hope to give you a really good idea of our vision for our special evening. Below, we have a Pinterest board for you to browse through. https://pin.it/3RA3Qpgqz (!!!copy and paste this link!!!)

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask guests to arrive at 4:15 pm for the pre-ceremony "lemonade hour", to mingle and get settled. The ceremony will start promptly at 5:00 pm

Question

Where is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at Bell One First Reform Church of Bellflower. (17603 Ardmore Ave, Bellflower, CA 90706) The reception will follow shortly after and is very graciously being hosted at the Taylor family’s home: (16215 Chicago Ave, Bellflower, CA 90706) Both locations are in Bellflower and just a short drive from one another.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We kindly ask that pictures not be taken during the ceremony to preserve the professional photographs taken. During the reception, we ask you to take as many pictures as possible!

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

There is a parking lot available at the church for the ceremony. For the reception, parking will primarily be street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. We are currently working on coordinating a couple of golf carts to help shuttle guests from parking areas to the reception to make getting there a little easier.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony will take place indoors, while the reception will be held outdoors; please plan accordingly.

Question

Is there lodging near by?

Answer

We’ve selected three hotel options (you can find on the travel page) that we believe best fit a variety of weekend preferences, whether you’re looking for something close to the venue, near the beach, or more budget-friendly. Of course, you are more than welcome to stay wherever is most comfortable and convenient for you — these are simply a few suggestions to help make planning a little easier.

Question

Will there be coordinated transportation?

Answer

The only coordinated transportation we will have available during the wedding will be golf carts providing pick-up and drop-off service for the reception area. Outside of this, guests should plan to arrange their own transportation to and from the venue.

Question

Will there be dinner served at the reception?

Answer

Dinner will be served at the reception. There will be burgers, chicken sandwiches, and a veggie burger option. They will be served with fries and sodas. Additionally, there will be alcohol and dessert provided at the reception as well.

Question

Do we have a registry?

Answer

Instead of creating a traditional wedding registry, we’ve decided to start a travel fund to help us build meaningful experiences together. There is also an option to contribute to an Airbnb stay following the wedding. Both of these options can be found on our registry page. Any amount is greatly appreciated!

Question

what happens if I can't attend?

Answer

If you’re unable to join us, we completely understand and will miss you! Please take the time to RSVP so we can set expectations for the day. Your well wishes mean so much, and we’ll be thinking of you on our special day.
