Things To Do

There is SO much to do in the lakes region of New Hampshire. Here are a few of our favorites!

Mount Major

875 Mt Major Hwy, Alton, NH 03810

The Mount Major trailhead is a 20-30 minute drive from Wolfeboro. There are three different trails to the summit which has incredible views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the surrounding mountains. While the hike is short (only between 3-4 miles round trip) it is rated at moderate difficulty. Allow for 2-4 hours of hiking and make sure to bring some water and a snack!

Bailey's Bubble

5 Railroad Avenue, Wolfeboro, NH 03894
, (603) 569-3612

Getting ice cream from Bailey's Bubble is a MUST when visiting Historic Downtown Wolfeboro. Maine Black Bear, Moose Tracks, and Orea Cookie are just a few of our favorite flavors.

Castle in the Clouds

455 Old Mountain Rd, Moultonborough, NH 03254
, (603) 476-5900

If you have some extra time, make the 20-minute drive up to Castle in the Clouds in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. This historic mountaintop estate overlooks Lake Winnipesaukee and the Ossipee Mountains. Tour the mansion, explore the walking trails, and enjoy lunch with a view at the Carriage House Restaurant.

From Scratch Baking Co.

36 Center Street, Wolfeboro, NH 03894
, (603) 515-1049

Craving some breakfast pastries or a sweet treat? Stop by From Scratch Baking Company and treat yourself! While you're there, say hello to the owner and Carly's longtime friend, Katie. She is also making the desserts and cake for the wedding :)

Cotton Valley Rail-Trail

Cotton Valley Rail-Trail, Wolfeboro, NH 03894

A beautiful, mostly flat trail perfect for running, biking, or walking.

Allen Albee Beach

Wolfeboro, NH 03894

Bring a picnic lunch and go for a dip in beautiful Lake Wentworth!

For all the days along the way
