If you're looking to explore more of the area during your stay, we recommend Hama Hama Oyster Saloon. It's about a 30-minute drive from Robin Hood Resort and offers a laid-back, authentic Pacific Northwest seafood experience. The views of Hood Canal are fantastic, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing with friends and family. If you want to ensure a cozy A-frame for dining, it's a good idea to make reservations, but we've found that walk-ins are usually not a problem. Plus, it's dog and kid friendly!

Hoodsport is a charming small town along Hood Canal, near Robin Hood Resort. It’s a great destination for Pacific Northwest beauty and outdoor activities. Consider taking a break from your play at one of these small owned local establishments. Restaurants: Fjord Oyster Bank: Fresh seafood, famous for oysters and chowder with waterfront views. Model T Pub: Classic American fare like burgers and fish & chips; welcoming pub atmosphere. Hood Canal Street Eats: Food truck with creative, local seafood and comfort food. El Puerto de Angeles: A beloved Mexican spot known for flavorful dishes and generous portions. Wine, Beer, & Spirits Tasting Hoodsport Winery: A cozy spot offering regional wines, including unique fruit varieties. Potlatch Brewing: Specializes in small-batch craft beers; a relaxing taproom with food trucks. Hardware Distillery: Craft spirits like gin and whiskey with tastings and tours.

If you're looking to explore the great outdoors while you're in Union, there are some fantastic hiking trails nearby! The closest option (that we know of) is Viewpoint Trail, a short and scenic hike with beautiful views of Hood Canal. For those willing to venture a little farther, there are several great hikes within an hour’s drive. Here's a few: Staircase Rapids Loop (50 min away) – A gentle 2-mile loop in Olympic National Park with lush forests and river views. Lena Lake Trail (45 min away) – A moderate 7-mile round-trip hike leading to a gorgeous alpine lake. Mt. Ellinor Trail (55 min away) – A challenging 6.2-mile hike with breathtaking panoramic views of the Olympics and Puget Sound. Whether you're up for a short stroll or a more adventurous trek, there’s a perfect trail to enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest!

Union Square Deli is a cozy, convenient spot near the beautiful Hood Canal, just a short drive—or even a walk—up the road from Robin Hood Resort. It's perfect for grabbing a quick snack or a casual meal. The deli offers a wide variety of menu items, from sandwiches and fresh salads to pizza and calzones. They have an Ice Cream Shop, featuring locally made Olympic Mountain Ice Cream with homemade waffle cones as well as local beers and cocktails. For coffee lovers, there’s a also full espresso bar with a drive-thru window.
