This Plaza is what Marrakech is world famous for: snake charmers, monkeys, story tellers, fresh orange juice, dancers, food and shopping. Keep in mind that all the vendors ask for a tip to take pictures with them. The shopping is open all day but the plaza takes on a brand new light in the evening
A staple of Moroccan tiling and art. A must see
One of my faves! It is enchanted and yes it is a palace with an amazing spa, gardens, restaurants, and a couple of shops. I highly highly recommend the spa as well as tea/coffee in the garden.
NOMAD This trendy new café overlooks the spice square, Rabha Kedima and is just across from Café des Epice. Love sitting on the rooftop terrace as the call to prayer sounds out over the medina, creating a magical atmosphere. The menu is light, café style with Moroccan and Western style dishes and beverages.
For atmosphere, people watching and great music the local hot spot is Le Comptoir. Every night there is traditional music, oriental dancers and later cool tunes from the resident DJ until 1 am. There are both Moroccan and French options on the menu and guaranteed ambiance every night of the week. There’s also a chic boutique in the garden.
For fun and music in the daytime, head to Nikki Beach, the atmosphere is Ibiza meets St Tropez, light lunches, sushi etc are served beside a huge swimming pool lined with large bed style loungers. This is see and be seen destination –dress to impress! Sunbeds are from 250.00DH, there is normally also an entrance charge of 200.00DH, but when reserved via Boutique Souk we can arrange complimentary access for you.
