We FINALLY got married!

Josh and I have never wanted a big wedding and always preferred to go to the courthouse. So that's what we ended up doing! On Friday, February 21, 2020 we took a little drive to the Leon County Tax Collector's Office and made it official. We have FINALLY decided on a date and location for the celebration. It will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 6:00 PM. The celebration will take place at Lake Iamonia Lodge and the dress is casual.

For a few weeks Josh was dropping hints that he would be proposing on Friday, March 29, 2019. I was even going around telling people that he was going to propose that day! Little did I know, he was leading me on to make sure that I would be surprised. I was going to be home a little later than usual because I had an appointment after work. Josh called me right before I walked into my appointment and I told him that I needed to stop by Francesca's after to find a necklace for Saturday. He asked me to call him when I was heading home which I thought was really odd since we live just a few minutes from Francesca's. When I got home, he had locked me out! I was ready to get on his case about it until I saw him when he opened the door. He was all dressed up and wearing a suit, he even had Chunks standing next to him in a suit! Josh took my hand and led me to the kitchen where he had made me a steak dinner - the first real time he's EVER cooked for me in over 12 years! - and got down on one knee! Of course I started crying and went to kiss him without even saying yes, which prompted him to ask, "So, is that a yes?!"
