Things To Do

Aberdaron is a small village nearly at the tip of the Llyn Peninsula in North
Wales. Located at the mouth of the River Daron, the village faces south
tucked up to a curved and ever-changing beach with dramatic tides and
surf that can be smooth as glass one day and alternatively wild and
dangerous the next according to the weather.
Welsh is proudly the first language spoken by the villagers although
everyone also speaks English.
The village has
two hotels with restaurants/pubs, one directly on the beach (Ty Newydd),
the other across the road from the beach (The Ship).
Eleri Stores (newsagent, liquor, gifts, cards, etc.)
two other restaurants serving coffee/tea and lunch (Y Ceigan Fawr, the big
kitchen, a 13th-century kitchen for the pilgrims who went to Bardsey Island)
and Hen Blas, the old house).
Ice cream shop (Ken’s Siop) using milk from a local dairy
The Spar - a small but well-stocked grocery store
Bakery( ) which also serves lunch and breakfast.
And of course a "chippie".
