During our senior year(s) of college, we both had an interest in teaching abroad. That led us both to a job fair in Iowa, where we accepted teaching positions at the same school in Prishtina, Kosova. We went out to dinner with the rest of the new hires, but didn't talk much until we saw each other again that fall.
During our year in Kosova, there was a small group of American teachers that quickly bonded. We traveled together, won and lost our share of Thursday trivia nights, and commiserated over the stress of teaching. The two of us became incredibly close, traveling as a pair to Greece and teaching one floor apart. We started dating in February of 2017 and the adventures continued.
In the past 3 and a half years, we have traveled to over 20 countries together, across 3 continents. We've ridden camels in Morocco, gone paragliding over lakes in Slovenia, taken a Greek cooking class in Athens, and more! Traveling the world is one of our favorite things to do, and we're incredibly lucky to have been able to strengthen our relationship through the highs and lows of exploring the world!
After a year in Kosova and two years in Albania, we moved last August from the Balkans to (North) Eastern Europe! We are currently living in Wroclaw, Poland and teaching at a small international school. Our city is full of history, colorful buildings, and quirky gnomes! We also adopted our Polish pup, Pepper, last fall. She's been making our lives more exciting and full of love since then! We love our new city, our school, and our lives in Poland!
We love traveling and exploring beautiful places, and are so excited to share this gorgeous place with all of our friends and family!
