Danby
Take a drive around our small town to see amazing Green Mountain National Forest Views. Chipman Stables offers trail rides (would recommend booking in advance) and Emerald State Park has nature trails and a small lake with great foliage views. There are a lot of great hikes in and around Danby (Long Trail/Appalachian Trail)- we would recommend pulling up AllTrails to find the perfect hike for you! Also, this is the weekend of the 2nd annual Danby Harvest Festival at Yankee Vineyard (Sat & Sun)- Great spot with live music and local food!
Wallingford
Wallingford is a quaint town about 10 mins from our home. We recommend the Sweet Birch Cafe, and you can't miss The Sparkle Barn which has a super cool art installation upstairs. Stone Meadow Park has great walking trails and a small lake.
Manchester
Cute area with great shopping and restaurants. We particularly love The Yard at the Crooked Ram for cocktails and woodfired pizza, The Union Underground for a cold IPA and Orvis for all your outdoor and pup gear! Manchester also offers some great hiking- check out Lye Brook Falls for a moderate hike with a breath taking 125-foot waterfall.
Dorset
Adorable quaint town. The Barrows House Inn has exceptional food and cocktails (mentioned that you are in town for "Jaimee's Wedding" and you might score a free drink), The Dorset Bakery has the amazing European pastry's and on Sundays (10am-2pm) there is THE BEST farmers market that you won't want to miss!
Pawlet
Mach's Market has all the Vermont specialties and an amazing deli. Check out The Barn (our local spot) on Thursday for live music!
