It started with coffee at The Human Bean. Coffee turned into a walk at Mark Youngdahl. Then dinner at Stix in Kansas City, followed by a scary movie. Chloe and Ethan connected and became inseparable. Seven years later, Chloe and Ethan live together with two cats Ridley, Wybie and dog Maple.

Chloe and Ethan started dating September 30th, 2016 when a waiter brought out a couple fortune cookies. Chloe opened her cookie, and her fortune said, “You must accept the next proposal you hear”. Prompting Ethan to say, “It’s probably too soon to ask you to marry me, so would you be my girlfriend?” Ethan kept that fortune in his mind when he proposed June 17th, 2023. He surprised Chloe by taking her to her parents house, getting down on one knee and giving her a fortune cookie. “You must accept the next proposal you hear” the fortune read. He was so nervous that he was speechless. She said yes!
