Thank you for joining us for our Sikh wedding ceremony (Anand Karaj, “Blissful Union”). Please arrive by 9:30am.
Attire & Head Covering: Please wear modest clothing (shoulders and knees covered) and cover your head during the ceremony (scarves/rumaals will be provided).
Remove your shoes; a designated shoe area will be available.
Seating: Men and women are seated on opposite sides. Seating is on the ground.
When entering, you will walk up to the Sikh holy scripture (Guru Granth Sahib) and bow (matha tekna) as a sign of respect. You are welcome to bring a small offering (coins or cash) as a symbolic gesture.
