Charles, better known as Trey, is the groom's nephew. He is a "dapper don" if you will. The two often bond over rap songs - passing the hottest or most lyrically sound tracks along to one another. When Trey received the call to be apart this special day, he accepted it with no hesitation.

Destiny G.

Destiny and the bride met their freshman year of college in Prairie hall--the two were suit mates. Being thrown into the college world without much guidance allowed for the two to develop a relationship similar to that of family. The two grew together but one day would find themselves on totally different paths. We thank God that he allowed the two of them to reunite as their bond has become much stronger. When Destiny was introduced to the groom, she knew that he and the bride were meant to be. Since that day she has always supported the direction of their relationship.

During the bride's college years Kim was there for her no matter the day or hour. This is one reason that their relationship deepened and Kim became a mother/sister to the bride. Her "no questions asked" level of support for the bride and her love story is undoubted.

Eventually they would go from learning to hanging out and drinking margs at their favorite Mexican restaurant, El Maguey. Over time the two grew closer creating a friendship full of fun, love, and laughter. Mo is her Puerto Rican sista from another mista! When Monique learned of the couple's relationship she was eager to meet the mystery man. Ever since then she has continued to support the bride and groom through each stage of their relationship.

Gabe O.

Groomsman

To the groom Gabe will always be “Prince Gabe” (an inside joke). The groom says, “it’s hard to have a bad day around Gabe.” Because of Gabe’s infectious uplifting spirit, the groom wish all bad news came through Gabe. It’s hard to find a cooler brother or a better friend.

Nakia and the bride first met in high school (Marian Catholic HS) and were both in band. The two had mutual friends but never really crossed paths outside of school. Years later the two ran into one another in college (SIUE) and surprisingly would learn one year later that they would join the Elegant Epsilon Iota chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc as line sisters. Since then the two continued to develop their sistership, experiencing many of life's ups and downs while being sure to continue to support one another. Nakia's subtle yet impactful way of showing her support for the bride and groom is more than appreciated.

As the groom entered graduate school, he met this good Brother who was exiting grad school at SIUE. Jonathan welcomed the groom into the southern Illinois and St. Louis community.
