What time should I arrive?

Answer

Come early (at least 30 minutes before) grab a drink and find a good seat! Parking will be available on site.

Where can I stay if I am coming out of town?

Answer

We have reserved hotel blocks (see travel page for more information) or you may bring a tent and stay on site at The Schubring home for a bonfire camp out. There are also several Air BNB options in Hickory, NC.

What is the closest airport to fly into?

Answer

Charlotte Douglas International Airport is the closest (roughly 1 hour drive) and will likely have the cheapest flight options. Asheville Regional airport is smaller and equally the same distance.

Are kids allowed?

We kindly ask you make other arrangements for your children.

Are there Ubers/taxis?

Answer

No, you will need to plan accordingly by either having a designated driver or plan to stay the night at The Schubring home.

What is the dress code?

Cocktail attire; bright, summer colors are encouraged.

Is transportation provided?

Answer

Yes, we have a charter bus picking up guests at 4pm on Saturday from the hotels. Please meet downstairs on time. This should be reserved for people who plan to drink ONLY; seating is limited. If you are not drinking, you may drive your car to the venue. The bus will take guests home after the wedding back to the hotels.

Yes, we will have beer, wine, and seltzers available. Please drink responsibly and plan accordingly!
