How far is the venue from Denver or Golden?

Answer

Our venue is located about 1 hour from the airport, 45 minutes from Denver, and about 20-25 minutes from Golden, which is where our hotel blocks will be located.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

The shuttle service will arrive to both hotel blocks (Denver Marriott West in Golden, CO and The Residence Inn in Golden, CO) at 3:30pm to take our lovey guests to the venue. At the end of the reception (11pm) a shuttle will be available to take guests back to the hotel block locations or you may join the bride and groom at a local bar (details to come) to continue partying! If you choose to go to the local bar after the reception, you will need to provide your own transportation home.

I have a food allergy. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes. When you RSVP, please note your dietary restrictions and we will make sure you have plenty of food :)

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! Plenty of spots if you choose to drive but we will also be providing round-trip transportation from our hotel block locations and obviously we recommend drinking responsibly. We would not recommend relying on an Uber/Lyft to provide transportation home from the venue. Cars may NOT be left at the venue overnight.

Will I need my ID to drink alcoholic beverages?

Answer

Colorado has very strict underage drinking policies and Blackstone Rivers Ranch will 100% check your ID (yes, even if you are clearly over 21!) so PLEASE bring your ID if you would like to drink. Blackstone Rivers Ranch is also quite strict with regard to drugs/alcohol. Bringing alcohol onto the venue site is strictly PROHIBITED by the venue so please do not try to bring your own drinks in (i.e. pretty please don't cost us our deposit) - we have plenty of great drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Is marijuana allowed at the venue?

Answer

Blackstone has VERY strict rules that no marijuana can be brought onto the premises (please don't cost us our deposit!). If you feel like smoking the devils lettuce please wait until after the wedding :)

What is the altitude in Idaho Springs?

Answer

Idaho Springs sits at 7,526 ft about sea-level and that dehydrates you FAR faster than normal. Please hydrate well prior to your trip out, and drink wayyy more water than you think you need while you're in CO. Altitude sickness is generally caused by dehydration so please, HYDRATE!

Can we drive to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is free parking at the venue. However, there is no parking allowed overnight. Please drink responsibly.

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony will be outside and roughly 30 minutes or less. If it is raining or snowing the ceremony may be moved indoors. The reception will be in a heated tent outdoors. There will also be outdoor heaters throughout the property so guests can enjoy all the venue has to offer!
