Reysandra and Nathan first met on the dating app Hinge (thank you modern day technology). At the time, Nathan was interning in Dallas while finishing one of the final years of his Master’s degree in Architecture. Hoping to make the most of his time in Texas, he was looking for someone to help him explore the area. Reysandra, who was finishing her final semesters earning her Bachelor’s degree in Biology, was also looking for someone to share the beauty and adventures of Texas with. What started as a friendship grew into something more. Before long, Reysandra and Nathan decided to make it official and take on life’s adventures together. From cruising the Caribbean to cruising down highways on spontaneous road trips, their journey has been full of laughter, memories, and plenty of travel. Eventually, Nathan returned to Kansas to finish his degree, beginning their season of long distance. But the distance didn’t last forever. After graduating, Nathan found a job in Fort Worth, and the two moved into their first apartment together—officially starting their life side by side in Texas. Of all their adventures, one stands out the most: their trip to Big Bend National Park. Reysandra had always wanted to visit as many national parks as possible, and Big Bend was high on her list. What she didn’t know was that Nathan had something even more special planned. Surrounded by one of the most beautiful views they had ever seen, Nathan got down on one knee with a beautiful ring and asked Reysandra to marry him. Of course, she said yes! They returned home from their trip with the best souvenir of all—an engagement and a lifetime of adventures ahead.
