We first met at the very beginning of our college years at a dessert bar in Lubbock, Texas held by our sorority and fraternity. We were placed in lines and each paired with another member. We were not paired together but ended up close to one another in line. We talked non stop in the line to get our desserts and ended up somewhere in the mix leaving our set dates and being with each other. We hit it off right away and talked for what seemed like hours. After the event, Reed asked to hang out later in the day and the rest was history!

As a couple, they love to travel and go somewhere any chance they get. Emily had been to New York City with her family after her college graduation and fell in love. She had been trying to convince Reed to go with her to the big city. Reed was a little reluctant and didn't see the hype of going. Finally, Emily thought she had convinced him to go, only because of the fact that the Dallas Cowboys (Reed's favorite team) would be playing the New York Giants at home. Little did she know, Reed had a master plan to act like he didn't want to go, but would surprise her with the night of her life. He meticulously researched anything and everything about NYC and decided to take Emily to a fancy dinner one night at the base of the Brooklyn Bridge. He made it seem like a friend had just recommended it and she thought nothing of it besides a nice night out. After taking the wrong subway, the couple ended up at bottom of the bridge looking at the illuminated Manhattan skyline. Reed is still very calm and to Emily's amazing surprise turns around and gets down on one knee to ask Emily to spend the rest of her life with him. It was beautifully planned out and is the beginning of their forever. 11.03.2019
